Knights of Columbus
On March 29, 1882, the Knights of Columbus was founded by the Rev. Michael J. McGivney and chartered as a fraternal benefit society. Today, it is known as the world’s largest Catholic fraternal organization and is often called “the right arm of the Catholic Church”.

The Rev. Michael J. Hartigan Council serves Bethpage, St. Martin of Tours Parish and our country under the principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. We meet at the Catholic War Veterans Hall in Bethpage on the first and third Tuesdays of every month at 8:30 pm.

Our address is 517 Central Avenue, Bethpage, N.Y. 11714; our phone number is 516-938-5033.
All practicing Catholic men 18 years of age and older are encouraged to join the Knights of Columbus.

Young at Heart Group
The purpose of the Young at Heart Group is to provide a community to persons over the age of 50 years who will meet together to enjoy fellowship, recreation, spiritual and educational programs. We also support St. Vincent de Paul Pantry, Right to Life and participate in other areas that would be helpful to our community.

We enjoy trips, put together by Dolores Stewart, our Trip Coordinator; and each month with the exception of September, November, and January, we enjoy a special event at one of our meetings.

Membership in the group is for men and women over the age of 50 years who are registered members of St. Martin of Tours Parish. Meetings are held in the Parish Hall on Tuesdays from 11 am to 4 pm during the months of September through June.

If you are interested in joining, please call Eileen Sussi, President at 631-697-0886.
